Genre of the Week- Historical

The Boy from Treacle Bumstead is an historical memoir set in the 1930’s+. I haven’t really read much historical fiction but the cover of this book stood out to me. I was fond of the blue, scrolled title embossed above the black and while photo of a young boy. It is also framed with a stained effect, giving the reader the illusion that it is old. The interior layout resembles a general fiction book, witht the chapter title and drop caps.

The cover has been printed with matte lamination and was published by Simon and Shuster in 2013, b-format.
